No matter what the SEO company says to you to promote their services, your blog doesn’t need any sort of back link building. I am not saying that backlinks are not required for your blog, I am just saying you don’t have to work on that. Let the backlinks be built on a natural way. Write unique and useful content and you are through. When you write a unique copy the search engines will fall in love with your blog and that’s what you need to get the traffic. Also, when you write useful content, then it will be appreciated by the visitors and they will link your blog. So, let them do the job for you. There’s another thing with the backlink building, you never know what’s enough, there’s no road map or no secret mantra to build backlinks. There’s a very fine line between building backlinks and spamming and usually people cross that line without even knowing that they have crossed over. And then the dream becomes a nightmare after that, as your blog will be blacklisted by even the search engines who just started their business. For every search engine out there this is the common philosophy. They hate spamming. As a matter of fact every one hates spamming. What if you get 2000 comments to approve in a single day and each comment is like: Hi there, you got an awesome blog. I have bookmarked it and the Title will be “Buy Water Coolers” with a URL of their company. I have been running many tech blogs and I have never done off page optimization for these blogs and still they rank very well in search engines and THEY DO have backlinks. So, how the backlinks are getting generated and who’s linking? When you write useful content people will quote you and trust me they will be happy to quote you. There’s no shame in quoting Shakespeare or Charles Dickens? You got to believe in yourself and your work.
Now, on the other hand if you are busy building backlinks then you are actually telling yourself that your copy is not good and you got to build links as probably no one is ever going to link it anyways. And the same message you are giving to the search engines. You just got to stick with the on page optimization and create some original content. And that’s it. In due course of time you will see that your blog has backlinks, it may not be thousands but you will have quality backlinks. Believe me, having thousands of backlinks to your blog in no time is a blog killer. I mean this is an obvious question: How could a blog have thousands of backlinks when it doesn’t have thousands of monthly visitors? Also, as a common general rule, marketing should be done for a finished product. A blog with 50 articles in it isn’t a finished product at all. So, forget everything, do not spend a single minute in backlinks building and do not hire an SEO company. Just create original content in a timely fashion and you will notice that your blog is receiving traffic and it has a number of backlinks which will keep on growing.
