In this post, I will describe a competitive analysis tool, RivalIQ which you can use to compare social media analytics, SEO analytics and SEM analytics with your competitors. By using RivalIQ you can also create custom charts and graphs based on content sources, metrics and graph types.

Here, I have created a beginner’s step by step guide and a tutorial to view, compare and analyze social analytics, SEO analytics and SEM analytics in RivalIQ.
1) Add a competitor or a company: After you have created your account make sure you have added at least three competitors to analyze in RivalIQ. To add a competitor, click on Landscape –> Manage companies in Landscape. Then, click on Add Competitor button and add your competitors.
2) Change Landscape settings: To change landscape settings, click on Landscape settings. From here, you can rename your landscape, share your landscape, enable email alerts and change the theme of your landscape.
3) Check if your competitors have social media accounts: Click on Summary Reports –> Social Channel Matrix. By using this feature you can check if your competitors have social media accounts in different social networks. You have the option to view number of followers for social media accounts and export this data in PNG, PDF, or CSV format. You can also email this data in PowerPoint format.
4) Compare social audience, activity and engagement: Click on Summary Reports –> Social Overview. By using this feature you can compare social audience, social activity and social engagement for your competitors.
i) Social audience comparison: Social audience is the number of Twitter followers, Facebook likes, Google +1s, YouTube subscribers and Instagram followers for your account as well as your competitors accounts.
ii) Social activity comparison: Social activity is the number of tweets, Facebook posts, Google+ posts, YouTube posts and Instagram posts for your account as well as your competitors accounts.
iii) Social engagement comparison: Social engagement is the number of retweets, favorites, Facebook post likes, Facebook post comments, Facebook post shares, Google+ posts +1s, Google+ post comments, Google+ post shares, YouTube posts likes, YouTube post dislikes, YouTube post comments, Instagram post likes and Instagram post comments for your account as well as your competitors accounts.
5) Compare social ranking: Click on Summary Reports –> Social Rankings. By using this feature you can compare social ranking based on Twitter followers, average tweets per day, retweets, tweet engagement rate, Facebook likes, average Facebook posts per day, Facebook post engagement rate, people talking about this, Google +1s, average Google+ posts per day, Google+ post engagement rate, Instagram followers, average Instagram posts per day, Instagram post engagement rate and Instagram post likes.
6) Compare Twitter analytics: Click on Summary Reports –> Twitter Overview. By using this feature you can compare Twitter followers, Twitter activity and engagement, top 50 tweets for your account as well as your competitors accounts, type of tweets for your account as well as your competitors accounts: with link, without link and with image, most engaging tweets along with engagement rate and engagement total for your account as well as your competitors accounts.
7) Compare Twitter mentions: Click on Summary Reports –> Twitter Mentions. By using this feature you can compare top Twitter mentions based on the following:
i) Twitter mentions by company: You can view number of mentioners, top mentions and potential reach for your account as well as your competitors accounts.
ii) Twitter mentions by mentioner: You can view top mentioners for your account and your competitors accounts.
iii) Twitter mentions by top mentions: You can view mentions by influencer reach, mentions by total engagement, most positive mentions and most negative mentions.
8) Compare Facebook analytics: Click on Summary Reports –> Facebook Overview. By using this feature you can compare Facebook likes, Facebook activity, Facebook engagement, top Facebook posts for your account as well as your competitors accounts, type of Facebook posts for your account as well as your competitors accounts: with link, without link and when they were posted, most engaging Facebook posts along with engagement rate and engagement total for your account as well as your competitors accounts.
9) Compare Google+ analytics: Click on Summary Reports –> Google+ Overview. By using this feature you can compare Google+ +1s, Google+ activity, Google+ engagement, top Google+ posts for your account as well as your competitors accounts, type of Google+ posts for your account as well as your competitors accounts: with link, without link and when they were posted, most engaging Google+ posts along with engagemnet rate and engagement total for your account as well as your competitors accounts.
10) Compare Instagram analytics: Click on Summary Reports –> Instagram Overview. By using this feature you can compare Instagram followers, Instagram activity, Instagram engagement, most engaging Instagram posts along with engagement rate and engagement total for your account as well as your competitors accounts.
11) Compare SEO: Click on Summary Reports –> SEO Overview. By using this feature you can compare organic keyword rankings, estimated organic search traffic, external links, domain authority, title tags, meta tags and meta description for your account and your competitors accounts.
12) Compare SEO keywords: Click on Summary Reports –> SEO Keywords. By using this feature you can compare top ranked keywords in search engines, top keywords by traffic and recent changes in search engines for keywords for your account and your competitors accounts.

17) Compare Google+ metrics: Click on Detailed Metrics –> Google+. Here, you can compare number of +1s, +1s with percentage change, posts per day, average posts per day, average engagement rate per post, post engagement rate, post engagement total, average engagement total per post, posts vs. average engagement total per post and Google+ tagline for your account and your competitors accounts.
18) Compare Instagram metrics: Click on Detailed Metrics –> Instagram. Here, you can compare number of Instagram followers, number of Instagram followers with percentage change, posts per day, average posts per day, average engagement rate per post, post engagement rate, post engagement total, average engagement total per post, posts vs. average engagement total per post and Instagram bio for your account and your competitors accounts.
19) Compare YouTube metrics: Click on Detailed Metrics –> YouTube. Here, you can compare number of YouTube subscribers, number of YouTube subscribers with percentage change, posts per day, average posts per day, average engagement rate per post, post engagement rate, post engagement total, average engagement total per post, posts vs. average engagement total per post and YouTube description for your account and your competitors accounts.
20) Compare SEO metrics: Click on Detailed Metrics –> SEO Metrics. Here, you can compare homepage title, homepage meta keywords, homepage meta description, domain authority, domain authority based on days, external links, external links based on days, domain authority vs. external links, SEMrush rank, organic traffic, organic keywords and organic cost for your account and your competitors accounts.
21) Compare SEM metrics: Click on Detailed Metrics –> SEM Metrics. Here, you can compare Adwords keywords, Adwords traffic and Adwords cost for your account and your competitors accounts.
22) Create custom charts and graphs: Click on Detailed Metrics –> Create Custom Chart. Here, you can create different types of charts based on content sources, metrics and graph types.
