Hashtracking is a very useful tool for monitoring, tracking and analyzing your Twitter Hashtags Analytics. You can set up any number of hashtags which you want to monitor from the Hashtracking dashboard. You can track hashtags from last 30 days, from now or start tracking hashtags from a future date. Hashtag Analytics provides in-depth data which is useful in planning a social media marketing campaign. It is also useful for finding relevant Twitter followers and influencers, platform used by Twitter users like desktop or mobile, links used with hashtags, images and media used with a hashtag, number of members who used a hashtag, and hashtag reach.
By using Hashtag analytics, for a particular date range, you can view Total number of tweets using the hashtag, Total number of timeline deliveries for the hashtag, Total number of Twitter users who used this hashtag, Total reach for the hashtag, Activity summary for the hashtag, Buzz words for the hashtag, Platform used by the Twitter users who used this hashtag, Engagement summary for the hashtag, Participation summary for the hashtag, Most popular hour when hashtag was used, Top sources for the hashtag and Top hashtags used along with this hashtag, Top members who retweeted this hashtag, Top tweets having this hashtag, Top reach members, Members with most timeline deliveries, Members with most retweeted tweets, Links overview, Top tweets having this hashtag along with media content, Top media, Media transcript and Top links used with this hashtag, Total number of members who used this hashtag, Hashtag reach, Contributors details with number of tweets, followers, reach and timeline deliveries and search for original tweets which contained the hashtag along with option to follow the Twitter users.
You can also create hashtag reports based on date range, option to select or deselect above mentioned data, select a custom URL for the report, add notes and make this hashtag report public or private.
In this post, I have created a beginner’s step by step guide and tutorial for Hashtracking. Follow the below given steps.
1) After you create your Hashtracking account, create a friendly URL for your account and authorize and link your Twitter account.
2) Click on the add hashtag button to add the hashtag which you want to track.
3) Then, enter the following details:
i) Monitor Hashtag: Enter the hashtag which you want to monitor.
ii) Hashtag name: Enter a display name for your hashtag.
iii) Start tracking: You have the following three options to track your hashtag:
a) Collect history (up to 30 days in the past) and start tracking immediately: You can choose this option to track a hashtag from last 30 days.
b) Start tracking immediately: You can select this option if you want to track your hashtag from now on.
c) Start tracking on a future date: You can select this option if you want to track your hashtag on a future date. Select the date and time from which you want to start tracking your hashtag.
iv) Add a logo: You have an option to add a logo to your hashtag report.
Click on Submit.
4) After you have added your hashtags, soon you will be able to view the Analytics for the hashtags from your Hashtags dashboard.
5) Hashtag widgets: Click on the Hashtags widget button next to the Tweet volume. Hashtracking offers several dynamic widgets which you can embed in to your website or blog like 24 hour snapshot hashtag widget, Buzz words hashtag widget, Platform used by the Twitter users hashtag widget, Maximum number of tweets per minute hashtag widgets, Hashtag activity widget, Most popular hour when hashtag was used widget, Top members who are using this hashtag widget, Top hashtags used along with this hashtag widget, Top reach hashtag widget, Top members who retweeted this hashtag widget, Latest tweets having this hashtag widget, Hashtag engagement widget, Timeline views hashtag widget, Tweets overview hashtag widget, Links overview hashtag widget, Top tweets having this hashtag along with media content, Top media hashtag widget, Contributors with reach hashtag widget, Contributors with tweets hashtag widget and Recent contributors hashtag widget. You can get the embed code for any of this dynamic widgets and embed it in to your website or blog.
6) Hashtag Analytics: Click on View Analytics to view Hashtag Analytics. Here, you can view the following types of Hashtag analytics for a particular period. Select the period for which you wan to view Hashtag Analytics as per your requirements.
i) Overview: Total number of tweets using the hashtag, Total number of timeline deliveries for the hashtag, Total number of Twitter users who used this hashtag, Total reach for the hashtag, Activity summary for the hashtag, Buzz words for the hashtag, Platform used by the Twitter users who used this hashtag, Engagement summary for the hashtag, Participation summary for the hashtag, Most popular hour when hashtag was used, Top sources for the hashtag and Top hashtags used along with this hashtag.
ii) Top lists: Top members who retweeted this hashtag, Top tweets having this hashtag, Top reach members, Members with most timeline deliveries and Members with most retweeted tweets.
iii) Media: Links overview, Top tweets having this hashtag along with media content, Top media, Media transcript and Top links used with this hashtag.
iv) Contributors: Total number of members who used this hashtag, Hashtag reach, Contributors details with number of tweets, followers, reach and timeline deliveries.
v) Transcript: Here you can search for original tweets which used the hashtag along with option to follow the Twitter users. You also have the option to show or hide tweets with particular keywords.
7) Create hashtag reports: To create a hashtag report on the above given data, click on Save Report button at the top. Also, you can create a hashtag report by clicking on the Create Report button in your dashboard. Select a custom URL for the report, add notes, make this report public or private and make this report a display mode report. If you make it a display mode report then last tweets will be displayed first, allows option to refresh reports and display only overview chart and transcript charts in the report. Rest of other data will be hidden. Click on Create Report button.
8) View hashtag reports: Click on the View Reports button to view the generated report. You also have the option to edit and export this report.
9) Edit hashtag name and logo: At any time, you can edit hashtag name, hashtag logo, pause monitoring this hashtag and delete this hashtag by clicking on Edit Hashtag button in your dashboard.
