When you are running a blog related to birthdays, anniversaries, Easter, Halloween, Valentines day or Christmas, then here’s a cool WordPress plugin to make your visitors engaged. Your users can send e greeting cards and flash cards to their friends and families. You have the option to change the settings of the e-cards from the admin page.
Here are the features of this plugin:
1) Add e-cards anywhere in blog: These e-cards can be displayed in single post, page or in the widget areas. You can use shortcodes for adding cards in posts and pages.
2) Send greeting card : A user can enter his name, email address, the name of the friend to which e card will be sent, and an optional message along with the e card.
3) Images in e-cards: A user can select the image to be sent along with the e-card. You can add any image from regular .jpg, .png or an animated .gif from the admin panel. These images will be used by the visitors of your site to include them in the e card.
4) PayPal integration: PayPal is fully integrated in the plugin. You have the option to enable it or disable it. When you enable PayPal payments, then users have to make a payment before they send the e-cards.
5) E-card settings: From the plugin settings page, you can edit e card submit button label, select light or dark style, enable Captcha validation, select a Captcha theme, allow users to upload images, and select e-card thumbnail size.
6) E-card statistics: From the plugin settings page, you can view the number of the e-cards sent in a graphical format by using the plugin in a particular time duration.
I used the same WordPress eCards plugin on the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust website, worked a treat and brought in a lot of donations to their charity. See https://kingjason.co.uk/end-year-fundraising-christmas-charity-e-cards/ for an explanation of how we used it.
Thats great, Jason. Its a very effective way to use the plugin. Enjoyed reading your post on how you leveraged it for Christmas Charity. Thanks for the info. All the best!
